Talking thestarexplorer and we came up with THE MOST AWESOME IDEA.

So, like, post-game, Bethany runs into Morrigan in the Wilds somewhere, Morrigan with the Old God Baby, and Morrigan ends up training her and becoming her mentor, and Bethany basically becomes a Witch of the Wilds herself and I LOVE THIS IDEA OKAY.

Sometimes Marian likes to pretend (and if she closes her eyes tight enough some nights she can even believe it) that the the noise, that seemed to come from everywhere the moment Bethy hit the ground, was just her staff. That skittered into a rock and snapped. Nothing else, and that Bethany really died somewhere a long time from now, warm in a bed with a full belly, a dog at her feet, and a book in her hands. Nothing else. 

But it doesn’t matter how tight you close your eyes some nights.
